Crawling!

There is so very much news! March 12 I started full crawling, knees under me! March 14 I turned 7 month old! Granny is in town, so she helped take me to my first Museum & my first Zoo (petting zoo)! I also started eating three meals of solid food yesterday! Whew! Now I make "bridges" and try to get in a standing position--I just keep moving!

I saw pigs, goats, horses, sheep, chickens & a turkey for the first time!

This week!

Huge news! Mommy was on the phone with Papa within the last half hour--I got on my knees & turned in a circle while staying up on them! Crawling coming real soon folks!

I have enjoyed more new tastes this week. I tried yogurt & peas. I also started playing with my spoons & bowls. Call the photo above "feeling my oats" (well, it is oatmeal).

Somehow the outside of bowls are equally interesting as the inside!

Where did February go? I have been so busy the last few days! I am wiggling all over the rooms in my domain. My ability to get on my knees has improved--but I'm not crawling yet. So, yes, I rubbed my face raw again! Hope you enjoy my cowboy picture--every Texan needs jeans & boots!

My new toy!

I got to play with a new toy today--my ExerSaucer! I'm finally big enough for it! I don't know what was more fun, playing in it or watching Mommy put it together! I will have to get used to a lot of the sounds this toy can make. I can't thank Eric & Stacey enough for getting this for me!

I had a doctor's appointment today. I am 18 pounds exactly! I am 27.5 inches tall! I cried when I got to the exam room & when the doctor showed up--but not many people like shots! I decided to rest after that experience.

February 16, 2009 President's Day

I hear it's President's Day! You know, Pres. Obama was on the TV recently & I just laughed & laughed. That's not commentary from Mommy--it's the actual truth of what I did. I have Papa & Granny as phone witnesses that night. I just love the phone! I smile when people I know are on it! I try to grab it when Mommy leaves it near me!

I fell asleep on the floor today. It was not my usual nap time, but I was tired. Anyway, when I woke up, there was Mommy with that camera! I had face wrinkles from the blanket & carpet!

Valentine's Day is my Half Birthday!

Well, I had a nice lunch with some of Mommy's friends today! I was sleepy in the car going to the restaurant and back! When we got home, Mommy showed me my first Valentine--from my Granny! I could not wait to get over to see it! Valentine's Day will also always be special as my half birthday. 6 months old tomorrow!

People ask me all the time, "How's that sitting up thing going?" Actually no one asks me that--but it's going quite well! Thank you! What people do ask Mommy & Papa is, "How does he get along with the 5 cats?" Well, Mir is becoming MY PAL! In fact, we hung out today! The others aren't quite ready yet.

I'm dramatic!

Most days I'm just a happy-go-lucky kid, playing in the sunshine or whatever. Like today--sunshine was the thing, the Super Bowl was on TV, & I played on my horsey toy to pass the time! But often I become very dramatic. I play the emotions one way to get a point across (or to get attention), then I switch it up in a split moment!

For example, the other day I didn't want any more rice cereal.

A few seconds later I showed mommy how funny I am! Giggle, giggle!
